Beaver Camps
Ask a child why they joined Scouting. Most will say, "To go camping!"
From its very beginning, Scouts Canada has actively supported camping experiences among members as a regular part of our programs. This proud tradition continues today. In fact, coast to coast, whenever Canadians think about camping, they think about Scouting. That's our national image!
This year, the camp will be held at Chickakoo Lake (Scoutland) facility on November 2-4th. We will be participating in a campfire event on Saturday evening. All Beavers and parents are invited to attend our camp which will begin at 8pm next to the lake. Beavers and a parent should arrive ath Scoutland at approximately 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 3rd and depart for home on Sunday November 4th shortly after packing up, lunch and cleanup. There will be plenty of hot chocolate for everyone!
The fee for this camp will be $10.00 per youth and $15.00 per adult (subject to change upon confirmation of updated fees from NLC), which covers the cost of food, transportation, and the Scoutland facility fee. We will need all permission/physical fitness forms completed (FORMS) and returned to us, including payment of the camp fee, prior to departure, thank you. Unfortunately, those Beavers who have not had their Scout registration form submitted, or registration fees paid, will not be able to attend this or any Scouting activity.
