Beaveree Trophy/Badge Contest

Our beavers were given the challenge to enter in their best artwork into our Beaver Winter Games Badge and Trophy Design contest. The best designed Badge will be printed and awarded to every Beaver and Leader at our annual Beaver Winter Games which will be held in March of 2008. This year's winner is Courtney. Congratulations Courtney for all your hard work, it's paid off.

Baden Powell Banquet/Ceremony

All Scouting members and their families are invited to attend the Baden Powell Church service on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the St. Albert United Church #20 Green Grove Drive.  Scouting members are to be in full uniform and will meet at TBA in the upper hall for the service that begins at TBA.

On February 15 we will be hosting our annual Baden Powell Potluck Banquet for our group in the Friendship Hall at the St. Albert United Church from 5:30 - 9p.m. This is for all sections including Beavers, Cubs and Scouts and all their family members. There is a nominal charge of $5.00/family to cover the cost of the Roast Beef provided by our Group Committee. Please confirm with your contact leader for ticket purchases and details. All attending are requested to bring their own plates, mugs/cups and cutlery (mess-kits) to save on dishwashing time.

We will be presenting prizes, awards and a photo presentation of all the activities that the youths have been participating in the past year so don't miss out on this event.

Baden Powell Torch Light Parade

On February 20th, we will be meeting in Morinville to march with all sections, Beaver, Cubs and Scouts in the Baden Powell Torch Light Parade. This will be an exciting event to honor our founder Baden Powell in celebrating Baden Powell week. There will be hot chocolate and treats that the end of the evening.

Beaver Winter Games

Our annual Beaver Winter Games will be held at Lacombe Park on March 1, 2008 from 12:15-5p.m. in the afternoon. There will be fun winter games/activities for our Beavers. They will also have an opportunity to meet other Beavers from Edmonton and St. Albert to participate in the games.

There will be lots of fun activities to kick off this event and will be just as much fun as the annual Beaveree event.

Snacks, Hot Chocolate and prizes will be awarded to our Beavers. Register soon as space is limited for this event. Forms and cost for this event will emailed to parents for confirmation in order to reserve a spot for your youth.
